Cuba's creditors appoint Professor Rodrigo Olivares-Caminal as co-ordinator in debt talks
15 April 2016
Creditors seeking to do a deal with Cuba over its defaulted private debt have appointed QMUL’s Professor Rodrigo Olivares-Caminal, an expert on sovereign debt, to co-ordinate their work and begin dialogue with its government. The designation of Professor Olivares-Caminal is the latest sign that investors are preparing for Cuba to return to the financial markets as it buries the hatchet with the US over its cold war embargo.

- Rodrigo Olivares-Caminal is Professor in Banking and Finance Law at the Centre for Commercial Law Studies (CCLS) at Queen Mary University of London (QMUL).
